Our first season is taking shape, and it starts with artists. Confluence Theater of Pittsburgh is holding Equity Principal Auditions for three 2027 productions: SHE LOVES ME, PURPOSE, and LES MISÉRABLES.
We’re inviting local and regional performers to audition in Pittsburgh and New York. If you’re a performer, this is your moment. If you know one, please pass this along.
What’s an Equity Principal Audition?
An Equity Principal Audition (EPA) is an open call for professional union actors, members of Actors’ Equity Association, to audition for featured roles in a production. Union contracts require organizations like CTOP to hold them, so every eligible performer gets a chance to be seen.
Depending on time-slot availability, actors who are not members of Actors’ Equity Association CAN be seen at EPAs as walk-ins on a first-come first-serve basis. Actors unable to attend or be seen at EPAs are still eligible to be considered for roles in our season.

Why New York?
You might wonder why a Pittsburgh theater holds auditions in New York. It’s part of the rules of the road.
Confluence Theater of Pittsburgh is a union theater and, in agreement with Actors’ Equity Association (the union for professional stage actors and stage managers), we are required to hold Equity Principal Auditions in both Pittsburgh and in New York City.
Pittsburgh talent is at the heart of our season, and our New York auditions keep us part of the national theater community.
